Kari Hudo

Kari Hudo is a boss and a playable character in Cris Tales.

Appearance[]

Kamen Rider Amazon, Kari Hudo, Freakenstein and Nick Nitro.

Abilities[]

She uses chains to attack, defend herself, and capture the spirit of weakened monsters (much like FF X's Kimari Ryuken).

Once captured, Kari can summon the spirit during a battle to use his ability which differs depending on the time in which he is launched. A mind therefore has 3 different abilities (1 in the past, 1 in the present and 1 in the future).

Relationships[]

She is Zas' older sister. Their father was a caravanner from Cinder who was researching a cure for glass lung. Alas, their father was murdered by Azufra, during the revolution in Cinder.

Later after her father's death, she was trained by the Empress to become an assassin and her right-hand woman.

When Crisbell and her team were captured by Azufra, Kari, coming out of nowhere, murdered Azufra, her father's murderer.

After the murder of the Mother Superior, Crisbell traced Kari's time back, bringing her back in time before her father's death, giving her the appearance of a little girl.

Kari's ethereal chains,brought forth from the Soularium.Deals low magic damage.

The chains that appear from the Soularium aren't actually controlled by Kari,but by whatever is trapped deep inside the lantern.

Defend

Take a defensive stance,reducing damage taken until the beginning of next turn.

Of the shield and sword,the shield is the stronger one.Being able to protect those you love is true strength.

Soul Harvest

Tries to capture a creature using ethereal chains.If the creature is captured,Kari can use its soul as a weapon.(higher the chance for sucessful catch as the target's HP was lower)

Being absorbed into the Soularium seem to become trapped in some kind of pocket dimension.The vessel itself seems only to react to Kari's emotional state.

Summon Soul

Summons one of the three chosen souls in the Soularium menu.The soul's effects are different depending on the current time-frame of the battlefield.

Trivia[]

In the trailers leading up the the game's release, younger Kari was seen fighting on the Empress' side. This was to hide the reveal of Kari's adult form.
According to Tyson Wernli, The Meddling Magician was meant to be Kari's theme song which later some pieces & melody of it referenced in her boss fight theme song,The Magician Prestige.

Kari is the first playable character seen with Past, Present, and Future versions.
